PROFESSIONAL HISTORY: Cydney Fox, M.A., is the Director of Pediatrics and the Director of our Auditory Processing Disorders Program (APD/CAPD). Cydney Holds a post-graduate Masters degree from the University of Denver and is working on her doctorate in Audiology. She worked at the UCLA Audiology Clinic from 1974-1996 where she was a member of the pediatric team. In addition, she was a Senior Audiologist and worked with adults and seniors in diagnostic assessments. In 1996, she was recruited to USC Head and Neck Physician Private Practice and built an Audiology practice for them. In 1999, she left USC to become the Director of Tracy Family Hearing Center, a subsidiary of John Tracy Clinic. During this tenure, she also became a member of the Orthopaedic Hospital Craniofacial Team and continues to service in the capacity of Team Audiologist. Cydney Joined The Tinnitus & Audiology Center of Southern California in 2004. Cydney is a well-known figure in the Audiology community. She has presented many talks to community and professional groups on subjects ranging from children to hearing aids to balance disorders. She has also published on a wide range of topics.
MEMBERSHIPS AND HONORS: Cydney is a member and Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, American Society of Audiology, and the California Academy of Audiology where she served as President from 2000-2003. She was a member of the Californian Licensing Board for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (SLPAB). In 2005, she was awarded the Larry Mauldin Award for Excellence in Education, a national honor that is given by her peers.
